     Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at YTBC is one of the most active ministries at the church.  Bro. Tommy Barnes is our Minister of Youth.  The Youth Ministry is primarily for those grades 7-12 and single college students.  If you fall into this age group your are invited to participate in the Youth Activities at YTBC.

The Youth Activities include but are not limited to the following:

·        Afterglows – Monthly, after a Sunday Night Worship Service, we meet at one of our members home for a time of fellowship, refreshment, and devotion. The time and the location change from month to month.  Check the bulletin for the next Afterglow.

·        Youth Trips or Retreats – For example in 2003: The youth attended Phil Waldrep’s Youth Conference, Fort Walton, in June; the youth joined another local church for a weekend retreat in Mississippi in August; the youth attended the Extreme Conference, Pigeon Forge, TN, in December.

·        Youth Rallies – In 2003, our youth joined a couple other local churches in hosting and attending a special youth conference.  We also often attend other special youth meetings at other churches.

·        Youth Fun Activities – We often just get together or go somewhere, just for fun! Activities include swimming, bowling, ice-skating, sporting events, eating out, and etc.

Each week we have some regularly scheduled Activities, too.  They are:

·       Sunday School – 9:45 am - This is the one time we divide up our youth into smaller groups.  There are classes for grades 7-9, grades 10-11, grades 12 through college and career.

·       Discipleship Training – 5:00 pm - The youth meet in the Youth Building (White House) for a time of Bible Study.

·       Wed. Night Bible Study – 6:30 pm – The youth meet in the Youth Building (White House) for a time of Bible Study and Fellowship.
