I was born and raised in Colbert County. I was saved during VBS while in the 7th grade. I am a 1982 graduate of Cherokee Vocational High School. My two sisters and I were raised in church. Our dad is a Music Director and our Mom plays both the piano and organ. It was during a revival in the summer of 1983 where I meet my husband Rusty. His dad, John Whitlock was the guest speaker and my dad, Freddy Bolton, was doing the music for the services.
I am a retired school bus driver for the Colbert County Board of Education. Before coming to YTBC, I served as the Church Secretary for Harris Chapel Baptist Church.
The Lord blessed Rusty and I with a wonderful son, Cody Whitlock. Cody is a sportswriter for The Decatur Daily. He is engaged to Miss Kristi Breedwell of Athens, Alabama.
My hobbies include, Alabama Football, traveling, spending time with my family, Western Movies and books by Richard Paul Evans.
