Pastor’s Biography

Rodney Shewbart serves at York Terrace Baptist Church as our Senior Pastor.  Bro. Rodney came to YTBC in July 2010 along with his wife, Brandi, and their two children, Griffin and Sophie. 

Rodney and Brandi were high school sweethearts and graduated from Vina High School in 1996.  They eventually married in July 1999. 

They each graduated from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Computer Information Systems.  Brandi is currently employed by the Tennessee Valley Authority as a Programmer Analyst.  Soon after graduation, Bro. Rodney enrolled at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in December of 2008. 

Bro. Rodney has served in various ministry positions over the last 10 years, but feels blessed to be the pastor of such a wonderful congregation at York Terrace!  When he is not working, Bro. Rodney enjoys playing golf, spending time with the family, and watching movies with his wife.
