"Abundant Lifers"
Purpose:
This group was organized in May 1977, for the purpose of
Christian growth, service, and fellowship.
It is for senior adults within our church and community.
It is to operate in harmony and approval of York Terrace Baptist
Church. Name: The name, “Abundant Lifers,” is based on the promise found in John 10:10, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Membership: In the beginning membership in this organization consisted of persons 55 years of age and older, who attended at least two meetings per year. The age had been changed to 50 years of age to hopefully bring in more people to the organization. Place and time of Meeting: The organization meets at the York Terrace Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM. A fellowship meal is to be enjoyed at the beginning of each meeting.
Officers and Committees:
The Abundant Lifers Officers and committees consist of the
following: Officers: President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Sunshine Chairperson. Committees:
Bereavement, Tables Setup, Clean-up, and Decorating Activities: games, singing, visiting groups, speakers, variety shows, and
etc.
